About
I work on visual analytics: interactive methods that let people inspect and make sense of large, messy data. My current focus is the visual analysis of very large time series, such as the sensor data that comes out of long-term monitoring of power plants and other industrial systems.
I received my PhD in computer science from TU Wien in 2016, supervised by Eduard Gröller. Afterwards I worked as a scientist at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology on movement data, and led the Visual Analytics research group at VRVis GmbH in Vienna from 2020 to 2024. In 2025, I was one of the General Chairs of the VIS conference. I joined the Institute of Visual Computing at TU Graz in June 2026.
